Easter Holliday at the mountain

This Easter, my urge for photography became too large to keep ignoring. Even though my spare time is limited, I have decided to take up my camera and spend some time with it. I’m starting with these humble images.

As tradition tells us, the Easter holliday should be celebrated some place in he mountains. This year, however, we are going not only one place, but three. This might be a little too much, but still, better too much than too little, I guess.

I have had a hard time, previously, with relating to the Norwegian mountains photographically. It all seems so mundane, in way. I just cant figure out a way to make the scenery interesting in a photographic way. My aim this Easter, though, is to take the objects and scenery that I have got in front of me, and make the most of it.

The three images above is the result of today’s endeavor. It might not be much, but still, it gave me something. It not the result, perhaps, but the prosess of taking photographs, that is the most important part.

I am a bit rusty, photographically, after being out of the game for quite some years, but I intend to reacquire my interest for looking at the world through the lense. Finding and distilling the romantic notions and aspects in life, to slightly shift my trajectory towards something more interesting and elevated than the routinely mundane. I think it can be done. And now is the time.

We all fall in love sometimes.
